Mary is known only from the census of 1861, where she is found living with her husband, who is named on daughter Bridget's marriage certificate. They are at the same address as on that marriage certificate. Bridget, still single, lives with them, as does another daughter and a son.

In the 1871 census, her husband is a widow, still at the same address. Death entries for a 'Mary Mullin' can be found both on the Lancashire Online Parish Clerk Project website, and in the UK FreeBMD website - for the first quarter of 1871. So, Mary died immediately before the 1871 census, "age: 56yrs".
