Mary’s maiden name and origins are unknown. Her first confirmed sighting is in 1795 in Leek Wootton, Warwickshire, by which time she was married to a Thomas King. Mary and Thomas had two sons baptised at Leek Wootton in 1795 and 1799.

Mary died in 1809, being buried at Leek Wootton on 5th October 1809. Thomas survived her.
