BIG STONE GAP, Va. - Thelma Skeen Marrs, 88, passed away Sunday (Nov. 14, 2004) at St. Mary's Hospital at Norton, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Marrs; a daughter, Elaine Carty; and infant son, George Marrs.
Surviving are two daughters, Alice (Poofie) Stump and husband Bob and Karen Roop and husband Ed; five grandchildren, Susan Okenson Mary Beth Stump, Melissa Stump, Sara Roop and Robert Keith Roop; and one great-grandchild, Miranda Wampler.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Holding Funeral Home, Big Stone Gap, Va.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Mutter officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Skeen Cemetery in Big Stone Gap, Va. Family and friends are requested to meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home for procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Keith Roop, Lloyd Robinette, Michael Robinette, Johnny Wells, George Polly, Ray Thomas and Spencer Quesenberry.
