    Keith A. Marrs, 72, died Friday, June 15 at Lonesome Pine Hospital.

    He was a graduate of East Stone Gap High School and a retired construction engineer with Westmoreland Coal Company. He was a member of the Stonega Veterans Association and the National 9 Scaleman Association of Weights and Measures. He was a member and past board member of the Lonesome Pine Country Club.

    Surviving are his wife, Thelma Skeen Marrs, of the home, three daughters, Elaine M. Carty and Karen Keith Roop, both of Big Stone Gap, and Alice Ruth Stump, Norton; five grandchildren, one greatgrandchild; two sisters, Ruth Legge, Little Rock, Ark. and Jeanne Gantz, San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Max Marrs, Okeechobee, Fla. And Walter Marrs, Big Stone Gap; several nieces and nephews.

    Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Holding Funeral Home with the Rev. Benjamin F. Wheless Jr. and Rev. Warren Wattenbarger officiating.

    Burial was in the Skeens family cemetery.
