    3 Sept 1901.

In the death of Mrs. Martha Jane Kendall, which occurred Aug. 27th, 1901, a kind neighbor, a faithful wife, a loving mother has been called home.

She was born in Derby Jan. 10th, 1836, and was the daughter of Marshall and Susan Sias.

June 1st 1858, she married George J. Kendall. Two sons were born to them. Her aged father, her husband, her children and their families, are left to mourn her loss.

Mrs. Kendall was a woman of many virtues. It could be said of her "She looketh well to the ways of her household and eateth not the bread of idleness."

She had every care in her last sickness that loving hearts and willing hands could give.

She was a strong believer in the Universalist faith during life, and when the time came for her to pass through dark waters she could trust all in the hands of her Heavenly Father, believing all would be well.
