Facts and Events
I don't have my sources handy, but George Jackson Kendall did not die in August 1901 (although his wife did). When his son, John Dickson Kendall, left Vermont to homestead in Eastend, Saskatchewan, about 1910, George went with him and died in Eastend, ca. 1914. A few years later, when dry conditions returned to Eastend and the wheat crop withered, John Dickson Kendall (my great-grandfather) gave up his homestead and returned to Vermont. In 1998 my family visited the old graveyard in Eastend and found George's name on the sign that lists those buried there for whom there is no marker.--Doug Kendall References
