"I remember visiting in her home in Davidson in 1926. She lived in a log cabin behind the home of Ollie Eddinger Hedrick. Aunt Mary was then 85 years old and still did her own cooking on an open hearth. Ollie looked after the health of her great aunt and took care of any needs that arose. Mary Shuler Everhard Shoaf is buried at Old Pilgrim Lutheran Cemetery." David Eddinger
