"Mariah may have been a twin to a sister named Mahala. The 1850 census lists them both as eing 16 years old at that time. John Wesley Teague was born Aug 8, 1851 when she was almost 19. He was given his father's surname altho they were never married. After her marriage to Billy they raised John Wesley along with the chldren of that union. JOhn Wesley Teague had a son named Monroe that about the same age as David Elias Eddinger. "The Eddingers have always been closely related to the Shulers ever since 'Billy' married Mariah in 1855. Delphina Eddinger, daughter of James married Lindsey James Shuler in 1879 and their daughter Mary Augusta Shuler married Robert Hll Eddinger son of Burgess Eddinger, in 1910. and they adopted Claude Shuler the orphaned son of Jim and Claudia Shu7ler and he is known as Claude Shuler Eddinger.
