"Mrs. William Hilson, who was born near Georgetown in 1889, and her husband who is a Milton Heights native, being born there in 1883, were tendered a family party on their Goldon wedding anniversary.

Their five sons and three daughters journeyed home to present them with fifty yellow roses and numerous other gifts, and to attend a worship service in All Saints' Anglican Church in Milton Heights at which Allan Norton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Norton, Milton and great-grandson of the Hilsons was christened.

Mrs. Hilson is the former Mary Ella Rice. She moved to Milton heights at the age of 14.

The family consisted of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hilson, Milton; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hilson, Listowel; Mrs. and Mrs. William Hilson, Milton, Mrs. Watson MacDonald, Listowel; Mr. and Mrs. James Hilson, Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hilson, Milton Heights; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cargill, Milton Heights. Seventeen of their 23 grandchildren attended, also three great grandchildren."

Dolly (Mrs. Watson MacDonald) of Listowel, James of Kitchener, Gordon and Ruth (Mrs. Charles Cargill) of Milton Heights; dear sister of Jerry Rice of Edmonton Alta; also survived by 29 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Funeral service was held on Tuesday at the McKersie Funeral Home. Interment Evergreen cemetary, Milton.
