Called to the bar, 1883; elected Bencher of the Law Society, U. C. (1892); and then continuously until elevation to the Bench; created Q. C, 1900; Justice of King's Bench Division. Francis Scott Riddell, born 1780. and his wife, Elizabeth Martin, born 1777.
Arms (subject to differencing) : Argent, a chevron gules between three ears of rye slipped and bladed proper.
