    "The 'Annals of the Shotwell Family,' contains the record of the marriage of Abraham Shotwell (b. 1719), son of John, Jr., and Mary (Thorne) Shotwell, of Shotwell's Landing, on the Rahway River, in Essex [now Union] County, New Jersey, and Mary Potts, daughter of Thomas and Phebe Potts, of 'Honey Neck, Conattecut,' in 1742. They were Friends and passed Meeting on 9 mo. 4, the second time. Mary (Potts) Shotwell died 3mo. 31, 1762. No further information of this family of Potts has been found and no such place as 'Honey Neck' is known in the state of Connecticut at this time."
