About Oblinger, Maria/Mary
MARY (MARIA) OBLINGER BUSSARD
That Nicholas Oblinger had a daughter Mary who married Conrad Bossert of Lehigh Twp., is shown by a document in the family collection of papers. In English and dated Mar. 3, 1797, it states that Nicklous Oplinger lends "his daughter Marey, the wife of Conrad Boset" certain articles. The document was prepared by one Enoch Beer, a local justice of peace, who signed it. Evidently Mary Oblinger and Conrad Bossert had been married recently and her father was loaning them items to use in their housekeeping.
Later Conrad and Mary Bossert moved to Westmoreland County, Pa. and settled near Adamsburg. They are buried at the Brush Creek Reformed Lutheran Church near Adamsburg. Their tombstones show that Mary, wife of Conrad Busard, died on Sept. 13, 1872, aged 94 years and four months. Conrad Bussard was born on Dec. 25, 1774 and died on Jan. 31, 1851. They had the following children:
