    xi. Mary Newby Born 18 Jun 1788, Mary married Josiah Nixon on 24 Oct 1810 at Springfield MM in Guilford County. The couple moved to Wayne County, Indiana in 1811. In 1814, Josiah proved he was human when he was condemned for “giving away to anger and using profane language.” Mary died 17 Jun 1841 and was buried in the Milford Quaker cemetery in Wayne County.
    Josiah Nixon was still alive in 1868. If the reader read the section on the Nixon family, it should come as no surprise that Mary and her husband named one of their sons Zachariah.
