Mary was daughter of William MacDougall (Dictionary of National Biography, on son Adrian). From Griffiths Valuation 1848-1864: Wm. McDougall, esq., of Censure, Howth. Henry John STOKES was born 1842 and died 1920. He married 1866 Mary Anne MACDOUGAL (1843-1924) (ms). Henry John Stokes, ICS (Indian Civil Service), was born 1842, educated Trin Coll Dublin, married 13apr1866, Mary Anne MacDougall (d. 1jan1924), daughter of William MacDougall, of Drumleck, Howth, Co. Dublin, and died 11aug1920 (Burke's Irish families). Henry John Stokes, son of William, marr Mary Anne McDougall, dau of William, both single, 31jul1866 at Howth, Dublin (familysearch).
