Mrs. Joseph "Chub" (Mary M.) Kramer, 61, of 813 Lincoln Ave., formerly of 1593 Dodge St., died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at home. Chapel services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Mrs. Kramer was formerly employed by great friends at Frenchy's Cafe and lastly at Nana's Cafe. She was born on Sept. 23, 1937, in Dubuque, daughter of Melvin and Marie (Barrett) Maas. She married Joseph "Chub" White Kramer on June 2, 1956, in Clinton, Iowa; he died April 21, 1991. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to the Diamond Jo. She was a volunteer for the Food Distribution Center. Surviving are three daughters, Billee Jo (John) Rapp, of Dubuque, Susan Lynn (Keith) Remington, of Shelbyville, Ind., and Bonnie L. (Kevin) Kramer Griesinger, of Dubuque; a son, Joseph L. "Pete" (Lisa) Kramer Jr., of Dubuque; seven grandchildren, Bobbee Jo Rapp (Henry White), Stephanee Jo Rapp (Alan Brimeyer), Carree Jo Rapp, Katie and Kimberly Remington, and Joseph and Elizabeth Griesinger; a great-grandchild, Tiphanee Jo Brimeyer; her mother, Marie Hoover, of Dubuque; three sisters, Adele "Ajax" (Albert) Davis, Rosie Heinze and Marlene (Phillip) Mihalakis, all of Dubuque; three brothers, Melvin (Shirley) Maas, Butch (Bernita) Maas and Marty (Linda) Maas, all of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Bettee Jo Rapp and John T. "Johnee" Rapp Jr. A Mary M. Kramer Memorial Find has been established. Mary's children wish to thank the family and Hospice staff for their loving care and support.
