Facts and Events
Adopted by Krohns. Her Mother's name was Bishop. She couldn't keep the baby and gave her to the Krohns. The family records called her a "Doorstep baby". The Bishop family was reported to be from England. It sounds as if Mary lived with her husbands family for 18 years following their marriage. Perhaps this is because she was only 15 when she was married and she immediately started having her sixteen children. It also sounded as if other Luedtke brothers and sister-in-laws also lived there. She is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah, WI. The married names of her daughters is: Ellen (william) Klawiter. Flora (August) Stridde, Shophia (August) Klawiter, Anna (Charles) stielow, Emma (arthur) Riesenweber, Carolyn (Herman) Bergman, Amina "Minnie" Becker, Ruth (william) Pankvantz, Della (fred) Dahmas, Susan (Lester) Ollmann. |
