[Note: It is believed that Doherty relied on Source:Jewell, Pliny. Jewell Register, p. 32, for the birth date (see comments on the parents' Family page), and assumed the location based on the fact that the father was taxed in Beekman "through Feb. 1746/7". Comparison with the baptism date below, might suggest a recording error in one of the dates, but as they appear to have moved sometime inbetween, and had another child in 1748, it seems likely the dates are correct.]
