This Jackson family was mis-recorded by the enumerator by his continuing ditto marks from the previous Baker family! So the whole Jackson family is indexed as Baker but I will put the correct surnames in this transcription. 1850 Census Adams Twp, Seneca Co., Ohio Frances Baker/Jackson 54 F 5,000. PA Lucinda Baker/Jackson 28 F PA Harriette Baker/Jackson 25 F PA Josiah Baker/Jackson 16 M laborer OH Mary Baker/Jackson 20 F PA Amanda Baker/Jackson 9 OH

1860 Census Clyde, Sandusky Co., Ohio Frances Jackson 64 M PA (gender error) Matilda Jackson 33 F PA Mary Jackson 30 F PA Amanda Jackson 19 F OH

From email from Cindy Jackson Soria: "According to the census, the unmarried sisters [Matilda and Mary] were living together in Mason City, Mason Co., Illinois in 1870. They were listed on the census as milliners. In 1880, Matilda was on her own in Mason City, and we have been unable to find Mary on a census for that year. It appears that she returned to Ohio. Napoleon [Henry County in Ohio] is where her uncle Joseph was living in 1880. Matilda's will mentions her brother Josiah and sister Amanda. Sisters Mary (d. 1874), Harriet (d. 1876) and most likely Lucinda (d. unknown) preceded her in death."
