Mary Houston was born in 1787, in Maryland, United States, her father, William Bettle Huston\Houston, was 58 and her mother, Mary Burke, was 31. She married Samuel E. Ewing in 1799, in Russell, Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 8 daughters. She died on 24 February 1842, in Rose Hill, Lee, Virginia, United States, at the age of 55, and was buried in Ewing, Lee, Virginia, United States.
