Full name was Mary Jones Grimwood

Mary Grimwood came with her parents to America as a baby. She married Edgar A. Waldron, in Ohio just after the Civil War. She was sixteen years old at the time.

Their children were: Celie, Myrtle, Maude, Kittie, Millie, and Ed. They had three other boys who died quite young. There were twin boys who died within just a few months of each other, and a son named Jesse who was killed while working on the railroad.

It is not known for sure where they lived when they were first married although it is believed to be Ohio. Their second daughter, Myrtle was born in Huron Co. in Ohio.

When they came to Michigan they lived in Montcalm and Clinton counties. Most of their years were spent in the Maple Rapids area. When Mary became ill, they moved to Lansing, where she died. Edgar moved back to their farm between Maple Rapids and Fowler, where he died a few years later.
