Mary Magdaline Gilsinger Latz died at home, 562 N. Oxford, Indianapolis, on Friday, March 11, 1933. Born in 1875, she was the eldest daughter of Franklin and Magdalena Gilsinger of Pulaski. When her mother died shortly after the birth of Mary’s youngest sister, Mary became “mother” for her surviving eight siblings. She was the beloved wife of Nicholas Latz and was survived by children Hilda (Taylor), Walter H., Adeline, Mary Frances, and Edna.

Funeral services were held at St. Philip Neri Church, and burial is in Holy Cross Cemetery.
