Mary Foot was baptised on 27th December 1773 at Bere Ferrers in Devon, daughter of Elizabeth Foot, formerly Drake, and her husband Christopher Foot. She has yet to be researched after her baptism.

   Although the mother's name is here recorded as Mary it is considered this is a mistake: it was only seven months after the marriage of Christopher Foot and Elizabeth Drake, who otherwise have no children baptised until 1775. The confusion probably arose because Christopher's parents were called Christopher and Mary, but this child is too late to belong to Christopher and Mary, who had started having children over thirty years before this.
