Don Greene's book, Shawnee Heritage I, states that Mary Magdalene Disponet was born in 1782, not 1762. Joseph, her father, served in the Rev. War & that accounts for the 8-year gap between Barbara, her sister, who was born in 1774 and Mary Magdalene, who was born in 1782. The family has no real proof of his service but Margaret Dispennette Kesler, great-granddaughter, remembers seeing Joseph's Rev. War uniform hanging in the closet of her grandfather, Adam Dispennet. This appears on Joseph Dispanet's Findagrave memorial page as undocumented.
