Archibald, JP,DL, was b. 1773 (Buchanan Book, by A. Buchanan, 1911). Mary was 2nd daughter of Richard Dennistoun of Kelvingrove. Archibald and Mary had a son Andrew Buchanan of Auchintorlie (Genealogical and heraldic dictionary,1847), who died without issue (stirnet).
