Mary and her husband, Henderson Frazier Phillips were two of the eleven charter members of Clark Memorial Congregational church in what was then South Park, now South St. Paul, on October 25, 1888. (It is interesting to note that Cass Gilbert, the architect who designed Minnesota's capitol, drew up the plans for Clark Church's chapel.) Henderson and Molly came to Clark Memorial from Plymouth Church at 32 Wilder Blvd.(?) in St. Paul, according to a reference letter dated 17 October 1888 which is on file at the Dakota Co. Historical Museum in So. St. Paul. Esther O. Lyons (relationship, if any, unknown) also came to Clark Memorial at the same time. When Molly died in 1900 a memorial resolution was placed in the local newspaper by fellow officers Lucy Clark and Anna Hanson of the Kaposia Camp No. 1458 of the Royal Neighbors of America where Molly had held the position of "Past Oracle".
