Mary Crume, born 15 March 1756>sup>51</sup> probably in Frederick County, Virginia; probably died after 1817 in Washington County, Kentucky.52 She was married in Shenandoah County, Virginia, to Abraham Birkhead who had been born about 1750 in Loudon County, Virginia, probably as a son of Abraham and Sarah Birckhead. He was probably a brother of Eleazer Birkhead who married Mary’s sister Susannah. Abraham, Jr.’s family is listed in the 1810 census of Washington County, Kentucky,53 where he probably died between 15 June 1817 when his will was dated and the following 8 December when it was proved.
