Elizabeth Corne (Korne?) married about 1744, Edward Lucas, II, widower of Mary Darke, and father of five small children. Elizabeth and Edward became the parents of twelve more children, born in Jefferson county, Virginia (became West Virginia in 1863).
Elizabeth's first pregnancy resulted in twins, born two days apart, and she lost sons in fights with the Indians. When Edward died in 1777, he left by Will to each of his living children either money or land

He escaped death by jumping into a river. He married Nancy Gower, in Tennessee around 1780. Andrew and his youngest brother, John, were left 416 acres of land to be divided equally between them, Andrew to have first choice.
Mary Lucas, second child of this name in this family, born 1754, was left 50 pounds, her feather bed, and furnishings for the bed, in her father's Will
