Elizabeth Corne (Korne?) married about 1744, Edward Lucas, II, widower of Mary Darke, and father of five small children. Elizabeth and Edward became the parents of twelve more children, born in Jefferson county, Virginia (became West Virginia in 1863).

Elizabeth's first pregnancy resulted in twins, born two days apart, and she lost sons in fights with the Indians. When Edward died in 1777, he left by Will to each of his living children either money or land

David Lucas, born 1752, was made co-executor of his father's Will with his half-brother Edward III, son of Mary Darke. Some time after his father's death, David went to Tennessee as a Scout and was killed by Indians, leaving a wife, Leah and some children

Andrew Lucas, born 1752, wounded by Indians on his way to Kentucky with a group of pioneers. He was shot through the neck, and the bullet came out through his mouth. He escaped death by jumping into a river. He married Nancy Gower, in Tennessee around 1780. Andrew and his youngest brother, John, were left 416 acres of land to be divided equally between them, Andrew to have first choice.

Mary Lucas, second child of this name in this family, born 1754, was left 50 pounds, her feather bed, and furnishings for the bed, in her father's Will

Job Lucas born 1757, was a Revolutionary War soldier who fought in the Southern campaign with his cousin, General William Darke (then a captain). Later he died of smallpox in the army near Philadelphia

Isaac Lucas, born 1759, never married, but lived with David and their sister Margaret. Isaac was killed by Indians in Tennessee

Margaret Lucas, born 1761, was lame. She never married but lived with her brothers David and Isaac. Her father left her 100 pounds in his Will
