Andrew Lucas, born 1752, wounded by Indians on his way to Kentucky with a group of pioneers. He was shot through the neck, and the bullet came out through his mouth. He escaped death by jumping into a river. He married Nancy Gower, in Tennessee around 1780. Andrew and his youngest brother, John, were left 416 acres of land to be divided equally between them, Andrew to have first choice.
