Mary Monelle Conkling, daughter of Edgar Clark and Loida (Brown) Conkling was born on 15 September 1900 in Windfall (Tipton County), Indiana. Monelle was a music teacher. On 17 May 1922 she married Thurman Albert ("Bert") Dicus, son of Nathan Henry and Emma (Davis) Dicus. They were married in Grant County, Indiana. Thurman was born on 18 October 1900 in Swayzee (Grant County), Indiana. Thurman was a teacher. He died in 1946 and Monelle died on 14 October 1992 in Marion (Grant County), Indiana. They are buried at Thrailkill Cemetery in Grant County, Indiana.
