Mary Ann Jackson is listed in her father’s 1788 will as already receiving 400 acres from her father Peter.[1] History of Gloucester Co lists the deed of Richard Cheesman to daughter Maria Jackson in 1782. Cheesman marriages says Peter deeded the land. Mary later deeds the land to Timothy Young and Jacob Jennings (a future inlaw).[2]

Mary Ann's marriage bond is between Thomas Jackson and Richard Cheesman, who would be the oldest of her brothers around, as Thomas had moved out of the area. (Father’s will says he is living in Waterford as of 1788.) Also, her only full brother if Peter Cheesman married Ann Ellis in 1746.
