Facts and Events
Mary Ann Burrows was baptised on 13th July 1828 at Barnack in Northamptonshire, daughter of an agricultural labourer named James Burrows and his wife Elizabeth Allen. When she was five years old, her mother Elizabeth died. Less than two years later her father remarried a widow named Rose Downes (formerly Newborn). The 1841 census finds Mary Ann living with her father, stepmother and maternal grandfather, William Allen. Mary has yet to be traced after the 1841 census.
