Elizabeth Allen was baptised on 10th December 1797 at Barnack in Northamptonshire, daughter of William and Sarah Allen. When she was 24 she married an agricultural labourer named James Burrows, with whom she had five children, although three of them died young. Elizabeth herself died in 1834, aged 36.
