John Stouffer, son on Abraham Stouffer, and his wife Mary Brough (1760-1835) had 9 children: one of which, was Joseph Stouffer (1800-1877)4
I was then able to surmise that Abraham Stauffer left the Stouffer House in the ownership of John Stouffer, who then relinquished ownership to his son Joseph as shown by both the inscription on the Stouffer House, and the 1860 York County Map. From the time of Abraham Stauffer’s passing in 1785, until Joseph Stouffer’s ownership of the house starting at approximately 1835, the property belonged to John Stouffer, son of Abraham Stauffer, and wife Mary.
