Mary was grandaughter of Colonel William Aylett, who came to America from England and settled in Virginia. He was Colonel and Commissary of Virginia during the Revolution. His wife was a first cousin of Mrs. Washington and Robert E. Lee. (Hist. Ala.,.vol xii). Listed in Stukely Westcott book.
