    Mary J. Anderson was born in Morgan County Kentucky, April 10, 1835 and died at Moline, Kansas, December 10, 1915, aged 80 years and 8 months. She was united with the Methodist Church at the age of 10 years and lived a consistent Christian life until her death.
    She was married to R. L. Lynam July 17, 1854. There were born to this union nine children, of whom only three survive.
    Funeral services were held at the Star school house Sunday December 11th conducted by Rev. J. H. Sutton of the Methodist church and the remains were interred in the Moline cemetery.
