Jon Shultz - Apr 7, 2000 View According to Uncle Marvin, when he was a young boy there was a tr ee on the outskirts of Risingsun so tall that from the top of it you cou ld see Fostoria. Seems Marvin and friends had a tree house where the youngsters smoked ci garettes procurred by the young son of the local drug store owner witho ut his father's knowledge. Well, one day young Marvin decided to buy his own smokes. He went in t he drug store and asked for a pack of cigarettes. Marvin insisted to t he owner that they were for his father. The story worked great-- or so M arvin thought. Not much later at home, in walks his father Archie from work. "Marvin ", said Archie. "Where is my pack of cigarettes." Handing over the pa ck of cigarettes, Marvin lamented how the boys were not going to be hap py about the situation. Of course, everyone in town knew that although Archie chewed up a storm wi th tobacco, he never smoked. |
