M. Hornbeck, 84; Of New Britain

Martha Woodhouse Hornbeck of Burritt Street, New Britain, died Monday at Brittany Farms Health Center. She was 84.

She was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and lived in New Britain since 1970. She was a dietary aide at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie for 21 years, retiring in 1969.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Hornbeck Sr. of Bristol and Roy Hornbeck of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a sister, Edith Baird of Hyde Park, N.Y.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

The funeral services will be Thursday at 8 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hyde Park, N.Y. Calling hours are Thursday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
