Facts and Events
Called "Aunt Bettie" by everyone. She told her granddaughter she was originally part of Quanah Parker's family. "White men" were sent to slaughter the tribe, and two deacons who went with them were sickened by the violence. They managed to save 3 babies, and took them to East Texas to find homes for them. Aunt Bettie was one of them. As far as she knows, the 3 babies were the only ones to survive the slaughter.
