The Burlington Daily Times on Thursday, June 09, 1927 (Burlington, North Carolina) Mrs.. Martha Alice SHOFFNER, aged 66 years, died suddenly at her home near Alamance Battleground Tuesday afternoon, not having been sick at all. The funeral service was held yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Lowe's church by Rev. D. I. Off man and Rev. Mr. Fesmire, and the body interred in the church cemetery by Mr. W. Levi Burke. Grandsons acted as pall-bearers, and granddaughters and nieces as flower girls. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Mike SHOFFNER, and the following sons and daughters: Z. M. SHOFFNER, Julian; Dane, Burton, and Cletus SHOFFNER, of the home a?; Mrs.. Charles?. Pentecost, Mrs.. Everett Philippi and Mrs. Maude SHOFFNER, Burlington
