Martha Rehe Sess emigrated to the United States with her husband and four adult sons, Henry, Fred, Johann, and Rudolph. (It is not known if they had other children who stayed in Germany.) One adult daughter came over on the same ship with their husbands. They came over on the ship J.L. Theirman, landing in New York in November of 1865. Martha died in 1877 and Heinrich followed her in 1888-- both dying in Cincinnati, OH.
