    Anne Lobdell Blackman Connors, 94, died peacefully at her residence on Thursday, March 8, 2012. A prominent, highly esteemed member of her community and state, Anne was born at Grevemberg House Museum, the daughter of the late Albert Gallatin Lobdell, formerly of New Orleans and the late Rosa Ashton Pillow Lobdell of Austin, TX.

    She was preceded in death by one daughter, Anne Lobdell Blackman; former husband Wilbur Fisk Blackman of Alexandria, husband Thomas John Connors of Lake Forest, IL; and nine siblings, Rosemary Lobdell Kramer, Lois Lobdell Dameron, Albert Gallatin Lobdell, Jr., Ashton Pillow Lobdell (infant), Jack Pillow Lobdell, Walter Reginald Lobdell, Nita Roy Lobdell Eiseman, Emma Harriss Lobdell Kyle and Charles Lacy Lobdell.

    Survivors include her two daughters, Martha Randolph Blackman of Mandeville, and Elizabeth Ashton Blackman of San Mateo, CA; sister-in-law Marie Roberts of Shelburn, VT, bothers-in-law Edward Connors of Denver, Co and Henry L. Connors of Buckhannon, WV; extended children Teresa Connors Johnson and husband Richard of Denver, CO, Marjorie Connors Leggitt and husband Nick Krul of Boulder, CO, and Peter Connors; four grandchildren Elizabeth Lobdell Ward and husband James of San Jose, CA, Kenneth Vaughn Sollberger and wife Stephanie of Mandeville, Peter Randolph Sollberger and wife Edie of Beeville, TX, and Lowell Ashton Wheeler and wife Lynette of San Angelo, TX, and six great grandchildren; Hannah Ward, Patrick Ward, Avery Sollberger, Adelaide Sollberger, Walker Wheeler, and Keelyn Wheeler; as well as loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.


    Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 3:00 PM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church for Anne Lobdell Blackman Connors, 94, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at her home.

    Inunrment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Calvin Lane will officiate the services.

    A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at the church from 2:00 PM until time of service.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main St., Franklin, LA.
