Funeral services for Martha Mary Kint, who died Monday afternoon at the People's hospital, were held Wednesday afternoon at Troy Mills. Mrs. Kint and her husband, Joseph Kint, had moved to Independence 15 years ago. She suffered a stroke at her home Sunday, July 11, and was taken to the hospital where she remained until her death. She was born on a farm in Linn County near Troy Mills on July 15, 1877, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kenyon. Her marriage to Mr. Kint took place on September 13, 1895, and they resided on a farm near Troy Mills until moving to Independence. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ray Fay, of Marion and Mrs. H. A. Rundquist of Los Angeles; one son, Orva, of Cedar Rapids, and one half sister, Mrs. Frank Peabody of Elgin, Illinois, as well as eight grandchildren. Following a prayer service at the People's Funeral home at 1:15 p.m. The funeral services were held at the Christian Church at Troy Mills, with the Rev. Baumhoff of Grinnell officiating. Burial was at Troy Mills.
