Sometime prior to 1900 Martha and Elias moved to Queen New Mexico where her son(s) ran a ranch. Elias and Martha ren a stage coach station near the ranch, until the death of Elias.

The 1900 Census has Martha J. living in Eddy County New Mexico. with her son John C. and his wife Ella. along with Martha's daughter Mary.

In 1904 Marth's son, Victor was killed in Silver City New Mexico, and upon learniing about his death, Martha had a stone made and placed on his grave.
