Martha Beasley was Dewey Allen Gibson's, my son-in-law, 4th great grandmother. She was b 1818 and m Allen Goins 28 Nov 1834 Surry, NC when she was 15 or 16. She had at least 9 children according to the censuses. I only have two entered at this time (2015). It is interesting to note that Martha is always listed as white and Allen is listed as mulatto. The children are listed as white in 1850; mulatto in 1860 and white in 1870. Everyone is listed as white in 1880.

I did do a search using the children's names and birth dates and found nothing definitive.
