Peacefully, with family by her side Mary De Putter passed away on August 5, 2022 at Strathmere Lodge at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Case De Putter. Cherished mother of Jannie (late David), Margaret (Gerald), Alida, Joanne and Neil. Loving grandma of Jeremy (Shelly), Chris, Tina (Allan), Krista, Ken, Marcie (Kevin), Keith, Tom, Alythia, Jessy (Rich), Frank, late Samantha, Edward (Jess), Christina, Jennifer and Murray. Proud grandma of 33 great- grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren. She will be missed by many extended family members and friends.
Mary Van Arkel immigrated to Canada in 1949, she met Case De Putter on the ship "Tabinta". They were married a year later on September 16, 1950. The pair built a successful life together and created a beautiful family with four daughters and a son.
A Visitation will take place at Denning's of Strathroy on August 9, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at Providence United Christian Reformed Church (447 Second St, Strathroy, ON) on August 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery.
