Mark Thaifon Newton" (M.D.). b. May 20, 1855; m. Feb. 28, 1885. Carrie H. Weymouth of Sabattus, Maine, who died February 9, 1903. He married (2l March 6, 1908. Lucine Augusta .Jones of Cambridge, Mass.

He was graduated from Bates College in 1880 and from Bowdoin Medical School in 1884. He settled in Sabbattus, Maine, where he is still (1908) a practicing physician. In 1900 he was a member of the Maine Legislature. He ha.s no children.
