Marjorie Ann Laughner, 85, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 in Fort Worth, TX surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on July 18, 1935 in Frankfort, IN to Clark and Cora (Reynolds) Frazier. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School in 1953. She worked for 1st L.S. Ayres and William H Block Retail.
She was married to the love of her life, William D. Laughner, on February 5, 1955 in Frankfort, IN. They were married for 62 years before William’s passing in 2017.
Marjorie was very active in her community and was a member of the Past Home Extension Club and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She volunteered at Home Hospital in the Gift Department and was an active volunteer with the Boy and Girl Scout clubs. In her spare time, she loved to craft.
She is survived by one son; one daughter; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Bruce Laughner; great-grandson, Adam Laughner; four sisters - Laura Alice Clear, Linda Mitchell, Mabel Dolby and Wilma Robertson; and five brothers - George Frazier, James Frazier, Everett Frazier, Norman Frazier and Harold Frazier.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 5-8 PM at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will be hosting a service on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 7 PM. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10 AM at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
