Marjorie Genette Munns, 94, died on January 18, 2024 in Rochester, MN. Marjorie was born on December 19, 1929 in Milton, WI to Russell W. and Dora E. Burdick. On July 3, 1949, she married Wayne R. Munns, who died in 2020. They moved to Rochester in 1957, moved to Poughkeepsie, NY, then returned to Rochester in 1968, where they lived for the rest of their lives. Among her other activities, Marjorie served as the president of the Rochester Methodist Hospital Auxiliary board and wrote travel columns for the Rochester Post Bulletin. She enjoyed entertaining, dancing, cooking, traveling, camping, and most of all, bridge. She is survived by her brother-in-law Dr. Stephen Thorngate, daughter Vicki Turetsky, son Wayne R. Munns, Jr, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. A family memorial service is planned for the spring in Milton, WI.
