J. Peters, Widow of Broker Mrs. Marion Smith Peters, 75, widow of W. Sterling Peters, stock broker, was to be buried this afternoon in Green-Wood Cemetery following services at 3 o'clock in the cemetery chapel. She died Thursday in her home, 255 Henry St., after a long illness. Mrs. Peters was born in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late William Cyrus Smith and Louise McPhail Smith. For many years she had a Summer home at East Hampton and for long had been active in the East Hampton Garden Club. She was interested in antique furniture and was one of a group that restored Mulford House in East Hampton, where "Home, Sweet Home" was written. Her husband died in 1929. Mrs. Peters is survived by a half-brother, Russell Y. Smith of South Orange, N. J.”
