Abstract:
Marian F. Verona, age 92, residing at 411 S. Hartup, born 9 Oct. 1902 at Roxbury, to Jasper Newton “Jap” and Bessie Viola (Writer) Tolle, died 24 July 1995 at Memorial Hospital.
She married in 1937 at Wichita, to Frank Verona (died in 1957). She lived in McPherson since 1974, having moved from Roxbury. She was a retired elementary school teacher for District 10 in Roxbury; lifelong member of McPherson Area Retired Teachers Association; former member of the Kansas Teachers Association; member of First Presbyterian Church; former member of the Roxbury United Parish Church; and member of U. and I., a ladies quilting club.
Survived by son, Jay Verona (New Orleans, La.); daughter, Donna Richards (White Hall, Md.); and four grandchildren.
Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday [26 July 1995] at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home. Funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Thursday [27 July 1995] at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Chapel, with Rev. J. David Worthen and Rev. Ralph Hand officiating. Burial in Valley View Cemetery, Roxbury.
